The ideal candidate for the CoolSculpting® Elite procedure will typically have noticeable pockets of fat in certain areas they’d like to get rid of.* These areas of stubborn fat may be resistant to diet and exercise efforts.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

The treatment time varies depending on the number of areas being treated during each visit and your desired results.* Ask your Dermatology and Laser Centre provider about the best treatment plan for you.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE CoolSculpting® Elite TREATMENT?

You’ll meet with a provider for your one-on-one consultation at our Studio City location.

Your CoolSculpting® physician will then discuss your goals with you to determine how best to achieve your desired aesthetic and what specific areas of fat you would like to target.

During the actual treatment, a gel pad and applicator are placed on the targeted area. The CoolSculpting® Elite applicator will then deliver controlled cooling to the targeted fat.

Once the cooling begins patients will feel an intense cold sensation at the targeted point in addition to suction as the applicator pulls in the fat. Do not be alarmed as the area will typically go numb within 5 to 10 minutes during treatment. Throughout the process, you are able to perform other functions such as reading, napping or even working on a laptop or handheld device.

After the treatment is over, you may feel a tingling sensation as the area is massaged for 2 or 3 minutes. Most patients are able to return to normal activities immediately after their appointment.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Some patients notice results as soon as 3 weeks following the CoolSculpting® Elite body shaping procedure. However, you will be able to notice more dramatic results after 2 months and your body will continue to naturally eliminate the damaged fat cells for up to 4 to 6 months after treatment.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?

Because CoolSculpting® Elite damages and eliminates the fat cells, results are typically long-lasting. While the fat cells are permanently flushed from the body, this does not prevent future fat cells as a result of lifestyle choices.*

The number of fat cells stored in our bodies typically remain constant throughout adult life. Losing weight will make the fat cells shrink, but they do not go away. Losing fat through fat reduction procedures such as CoolSculpting® Elite reduces the number of fat cells in the treated area.
