What is Jeuveau?

Like BOTOX® Cosmetic, Jeuveau is a neurotoxin that can be injected between the eyebrows or at the corners of the eyes to stop natural muscle contractions that form the wrinkles. It can also serve as an excellent treatment for preventing new lines from forming and smoothing out the old ones which could potentially deepen with time.

What does Jeuveau treat?

Jeuveau is almost the same as BOTOX® Cosmetic and works much in the same way since both injectables are extracted from the same type of bacteria. BOTOX® Cosmetic is basically a neuromodulator and Jeuveau works on the same principle to smooth out the creases in the face, reduce signs of wrinkles, and improve facial texture. Additionally, this treatment has shown to be an effective treatment in reducing frown lines, crow’s feet around the eyes, and smile lines around the mouth.

How does it work?

Although all the drugs used for aesthetic treatments contain the same formula, the safety and effectiveness of Jeuveau is similar to the one of BOTOX® Cosmetic. Therefore, this treatment can be used as an effective substitute for the popular injectable. Jeuveau is a neuromodulator and will produce similar results to BOTOX® Cosmetic when injected. Like BOTOX® Cosmetic, this treatment is made of a highly purified form of botulinum toxin A and works in a similar fashion. When injected, Jeuveau goes to work quickly and delivers results that can be seen in as early as 2-3 days. Most neuromodulator medication take up to 7-10 days to show 100% of the treatment result.
