Smoothing out folds and wrinkles by adding volume can make an enormous difference to your appearance.* Using a combination of FDA approved cosmetic fillers, Dr. Rubinstein achieves facial rejuvenation and a youthful appearance while maintaining a soft and natural look.*

When treating wrinkles or folds, fillers are injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The injected gel produces natural volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out.* The results can be seen immediately and may last from several months to several years, depending on the filler.* No skin tests are necessary, which means that you can have the treatment immediately.* The session often takes less than thirty minutes.

Dr. Rubinstein offers an array of fillers to achieve the desired results.* The filler choices are discussed with each patient and depend on thickness of the skin, patient’s age, area of desired correction and budget.

RESTYLANE and JUVEDERM – Composed of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the human body. These fillers are fully biocompatible and have a high safety profile. Restylane and Juvederm maintain its shape using the body’s own moisture. The ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide long- lasting results.* Restylane is used to fill nasolabial folds, correct bags under the eyes, and plump up lips.* Results may last several months.* Juvederm is an excellent soft feeling filler used for lips and nasolabial folds. Juvederm may last several months or longer in some cases.* Dr. Rubinstein participated in the clinical trials for Juvederm and has been using Juvederm since its FDA approval.

RADIESSE – Made of very tiny, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. The microspheres (particles) form a scaffold through which your body’s own collagen grows, this produces the desired long- term effect.* Radiesse is a new generation injectable filler that offers superior versatility for both cosmetic and reconstructive use without surgery. These unique advantages make Radiesse the ideal choice for facial shaping and contouring – general filler for deep folds, non-surgical nose job, chin, acne scars and other depressions of the skin.*

SCULPTRA – A synthetic injectable material known as “poly-L-lactic acid.” Poly-L-lactic acid is a biocompatible, biodegradable material that has been widely used for many years in dissolvable stitches and other types of implants. Sculptra provides a gradual increase in skin thickness and restores fat loss from aging.* Two to three treatments are required and the results from Sculptra injections are not immediate.* Sculptra is used as a “liquid face lift” for long lasting results which can last for several years and are often prolonged by touch up injections.* Nasolabial folds, cheeks, under-eye bags and other facial fat loss can be restored for a youthful appearance.*

How Much Filler will I Need to Achieve Full Correction?
Every individual is different. Recommendations are made by Dr. Rubinstein or one of our consultants in consultation with you. Various factors including budget are considered. Treatment may be performed in one session or distributed between several session with increasing volumization.* The following photos show an example of the difference between the injection of one, two and three syringes of Restylane in the nasolabial folds.* We recommend achieving full correction for a high degree of satisfaction with your treatment.* Since fillers resorb gradually and collagen formation in your skin creates a natural scaffolding over time, a touch up treatment of one syringe on a regular basis will prevent full deflation and the need to invest in full correction in the future.*
